Thankyou for taking the time to leave this lovely review. So happy you had a great time out there! 😊 Take care.....Gavin and Cindy Hopper.
Hi Jocelyn....thankyou SO much and SO happy you both had a special day out! 🤍 Look after yourselves.....Gavin and Cindy Hopper.
Great experience, beautiful ride, and especially efficient and friendly - even got to sample some homemade burger patties !
Wonderful! So appreciated 🤍 Look after yourselves.....Gavin and Cindy Hopper.
The operators were very obliging and cheerful when we met them to get set for our Kayak. Good advice was provided, however a bit more warning that the first few hundred metres is quite a hard paddle if you are used to kayaking on flat lakes. There is a bit of a current that is hard to paddle against when you are not used to it. It becomes easier once you get up the river a bit more. It was very pleasant floating back. We took about 2 hours which was 1 hour 20 up and about 40 mins back.
Hi Angela, Thankyou for your honest feedback. While most find it relatively easy, it could be challenging for some depending on the tide, so good to know that it is best not to book unless you have a good level of fitness and experience. So appreciate you supporting us 🤍 Take care of yourselves.....Gavin and Cindy Hopper.
Great experience, beautiful place and friendly adaptable hosts. A suggestion for improvement - back support seats for double kayaks
Fantastic you had a great experience as a family out there! 🤍 Great tip thanks....it was on the worth considering list...will have to action! Many thanks and take care....Gavin and Cindy Hopper.

100% recommend the kayak trip!
We absolutely enjoyed our kayak trip. The scenery was stunning, the water was very easy to paddle in 85% of the time and there are great options for lunch stops on the way. We saw herons and a few other native NZ birds. Gavin and Cindy were very friendly and helpful and even gave us freshly baked cookies for our trip. The only helpful thing would have been a spare dry bag as one was not quite enough for a grup of five, but that's okay.
