My sister and I booked a trip at 12.45 yesterday. It was really interesting and the guide brochures were terrific. We then went on a boat trip on Lake Rotomahana right up to the mountain and saw where the pink and white Terraceswere located. Magic!
Very interesting experience, definitely worth the entry fee. Phil our tour guide on the boat was wonderful.
Fantastic place to visit and the customer service was amazing. It was a shame I couldn't spend more time looking at the views, I had 2 hours to reach the other end, just got there on time. The track is amazing too. You get really close to the geothermal area's.
a perfect day, sunny, great informative maps, very enjoyable!!

Memorable Experience
The sites and scenery were picturesque. Grateful this has been made a sanctuary. We enjoyed a slow pace walk meandering through the 1st section for 2 hours. This allowed us time to really soak in the nature and get to the boat by 11:20. Daniel guided us well on the boat tip which was worth the full day experience. We then were able to soak in the remainder of the track after our boat ride. We are grateful to have taken a day to do this walk. Autumn/Winter is also a nice quiet time of the year to enjoy this special spot without too many distractions
