Great Value and Atmosphere
We have been dining at Fat Dog for over 20 years - safe to say it is our favourite cafe - staff are great - food over the years has been excellent - my only problem is lately the cafe is changing - food prices jumped - counter food has disappeared - it feels like they are changing the cafe and loosing their way - it worked for many years why change what has made the cafe the most successful in Rotorua. If you change the great staff now you will lose another customer.

Hi Keith - thanks for your review and feedback and we appreciate your loyalty for 20 long years! Just so you know we hadn't increased our food prices for over 5 years and we simply could not absorb the increased costs across the business including the cost of food and increased wages. The counter food has gone because it simply wasn't selling anymore, meaning more waste. We updated the main board to include a lot more healthy options to ensure we are catering for our whole market not just those that love sugar and fried food! Our staff are great and we don't intend to change them :) Hope to see you again soon. Cheers Fat Dog
