Join us for an unforgettable cycling adventure on the Lake Dunstan Cycle Trail. Starting from the charming Cromwell Heritage Precinct, you’ll pedal through picturesque Bannockburn vineyards and into the stunning Cromwell Gorge. This trail features unique cantilevered boardwalks and suspension bridges that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

As you ride, you’ll encounter the turquoise waters of Lake Dunstan and the impressive Clyde Dam. The route is well-maintained and suitable for those with a reasonable fitness level, especially with our premium e-bikes. Expect to take breaks for photos and perhaps a refreshing dip in the lake.

After your ride, you can unwind in Clyde with a drink or an ice cream, reflecting on the day’s adventure. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a beginner, this trail offers a unique experience in one of New Zealand’s most beautiful regions.

Itinerary

  • 9am Arrive at CCT Clyde for bike fitting and briefing
  • 9:30am Departure from the CCT Clyde Depot to the Cromwell Historic Precinct
  • Ride 42 km from Cromwell back to Clyde
  • Take lots of photos!
  • 4pm Return your bikes to the CCT depot
