Sail to the peaceful island haven that is Savala on a boutique cruise experience away from the crowds. Enjoy lunch, complimentary drinks, watersports, wildlife and a glass bottom boat ride on this memorable trip brought to you by Oolala Cruises.
Avoid the early crowds and start your adventure the easy way with a relaxed 10:00 am departure from Denarau Marina aboard our charming vessel, the M.V. Oolooloo. Cruise smoothly over calm, clear waters as our friendly crew shares fun facts about the nearby islands and Fijian culture. Sip on coffee or tea and enjoy delicious homemade pastries as you take in the stunning views.
After a scenic 60 minute cruise, you’ll arrive at Savala Island—a peaceful, private paradise with soft white sands, clear turquoise waters, and shady spots to unwind. This boutique island experience is limited to smaller groups, so you get more space, more peace, and more personal attention.
Whether you're looking for adventure or relaxation, there’s something for everyone. Snorkel in vibrant coral reefs, paddle a kayak or stand-up board, explore the marine life in a glass-bottom boat, or simply stretch out in the shade with a cool drink. Kids and adults alike will love the warm, interactive staff and fun island activities, including fish feeding, coconut demos, and Fijian handicrafts.
A tasty BBQ buffet lunch is served with live music in the island’s main bure, followed by more time to play or relax. You can even treat yourself to a soothing massage (extra cost) before heading back.
As we cruise home, enjoy afternoon tea with more fresh cake and a final round of refreshments. By the time we return to Denarau at 4:30 pm, you’ll be smiling from ear to ear with unforgettable memories of your day in paradise.

- Meet at Oolala Cruises booth 9:30 am - Time to Check-In.
- Boat departs Port Denarau 10:00 am - Cruise to Savala Island and safety briefing.
- Morning Tea 10:30 am - Coffee / Tea/Homemade Cake. Refreshments available, the bar opens!
- Boat anchors off Savala Island 11:15 am - First snorkelling location, alternatively guests can transfer to the island for other activities.
- BBQ Buffet Lunch 12:30 pm - Served in main bure, accompanied by live entertainment and coconut demonstration.
- Baby Shark viewing & other activities resume 1:15 pm - (Glass bottom boat, kayak etc.)
- Guests depart Savala Island 3:00 pm - To cruise back to Port Denarau.
- Afternoon Tea is served 3:30 pm - Coffee / Tea / Homemade Cake. Refreshments still available.
- Boat docks at Port Denarau 4:30 pm - Guests are farewelled by crew after an enjoying an amazing day with Oolala Cruises!

Amazing day cruise
We spent an unbelievable day with Oolala Cruises, with a smaller group, which made the expreience eben more pleasant. The Savala Island is so beautiful and picturesque. We couldn't believe that we actually were able to see this little paradise. The crew was wonderful, so kind as well. We learnt lots of new information about Fiji and about coconuts! We were also a able to see so beautiful fish during snorkelling. They were playing on the guitar and singing along the journey, which was so lovely. And the BBQ lunch was so delicious and generous. Overall highly reccomended. Great experience 😊

Amazing trip
We all had such a fantastic time, one of the highlights of the trip, amazing crew and food, will definitely do this again next time we are in Fiji!

Awesome crew and day out
If you’re looking for a smaller, more relaxed alternative to the large commercial boats operating out of Denarau, I highly recommend this trip. The smaller passenger numbers meant there was plenty of space on board to spread out and enjoy the journey without feeling crowded. Just be prepared to swap to a smaller tender at the island, it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The island itself is simple, natural and beautiful, with surprisingly good snorkelling considering how close it is to the mainland. It was the perfect place to unwind, swim and enjoy the surroundings. Lunch was delicious, and the crew were outstanding, friendly, welcoming and genuinely focused on making sure everyone had a great day. If you prefer a more personal experience with a smaller group, beautiful scenery and a wonderful team, this is an excellent choice. We loved it so much that we went back for a second day, and we’d happily do it again.

Beautiful little slice of paradise
Highly recommended! It felt exclusive since the island isn't too big. Incredibly great staff, great food, drinks and activities. Had an amazing time as a solo traveler.
