Soak up the stunning ocean views on a 1 hour 45-minute cruise each way to Kuata Island, where you’ll meet a friendly Marine Biologist and dive into the fascinating world of the island’s underwater life.

Highlights

  • Guided snorkel with a Marine Biologist
  • Scenic cruise through island paradise
  • Enjoy a relaxed coastal walk, discover marine life up close, and refuel with a tasty buffet lunch.

Start your day with a relaxing cruise from Port Denarau, passing the beautiful Mamanuca Islands on your way to sunny Kuata Island — a peaceful spot known for its warm waters and friendly local vibe.

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome and introduced to a Marine Biologist who will guide your day. You’ll begin with a simple and interesting talk about how the island’s waters became a Marine Protected Area, what’s been done so far to protect it, and what’s planned for the future.

Then, it’s time to explore!

  1. Snorkel Adventure – Follow your Marine Biologist into the water to visit coral gardens, see ocean life up close, and learn how coral is being cared for and grown.
  2. Shoreline Walk – Join a guided walk along the coast or tidepools to learn about the sea creatures and plants that live where the land meets the ocean.

A tasty buffet lunch is included in your trip, and drinks are available to buy at the resort. Vegetarian options are available too – just let us know when booking.

This tour is a perfect mix of fun, learning, and nature in one of Fiji’s most beautiful spots.

Crazy day!

What a crazy day! I Loved parts and disliked parts but over all it was an amazing once in a life time opportunity for me. I struggled with the lack if structure and safety equipment but the food was great & the staff mostly friendly. The snorkling with sharks was amazing despite the lack of organisiation or support for newbies Truly postcard perfect views and a real adventure

Top Island Experience

Interesting South Sea Cruises ferry trip out through the island groups. Purchase refreshments on board. Top hospitality from staff at resort. Delicious and generous lunch. Lots of activities for all interests or just relax. Quaint freshwater pool. I super relaxing day -didn't want to leave.

Stay away!!!!!

We had the worst experience in this trip. We were asked to pay for snorkels when it says “full use of equipment”. What a joke!!!!! We were bored to death! Zero value for money. Not to mention boat was overbooked, zero privacy and having to seat tight with strangers. Worst day ever.will definitely spread the rumour.
